(trendingpoliticsnews) – Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been placed in solitary confinement after allegedly making comments about Epstein’s death. Maxwell was interviewed by a journalist while in custody and suggested that Epstein may have been murdered. In response, prison officials reportedly placed her in solitary confinement for her own safety.
Following her interview on TalkTV in January, Maxwell was reportedly placed in solitary confinement at the Special Housing Unit of FCI Tallahassee. An investigation was launched to determine if she had violated the terms of her sentence by selling her story to the media. Despite Maxwell’s denial of receiving any payment, one source claimed that she became emotional, cried and yelled, and was not seen again for three days.
“About two weeks after the show was on TV, Max was just minding her own business when they came in, turned her around and handcuffed her,” the source mentioned.
“‘She got really upset, she was crying, she was yelling that she hadn’t received any money, but nobody saw her again for three days.” The source continued, “The SHU is not a nice place. You go in there if you’re suicidal, if you fail a drug test or you get in a fight.”
“It’s like a little box and you’re only allowed out to shower once a day. There’s no contact from anyone, no privileges, they slide your meals through a slot. Normally people stay there for at least two weeks but she was out in about 48 hours because there was no evidence she was guilty.”

FCI Tallahassee, where Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to serve her sentence until July 17, 2037, is surrounded by 30 ft fences and cameras. Maxwell, who is 61 years old, was reportedly held in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) for two days, which includes small cells where inmates are locked up for 23 hours a day and given food through slots in the door. Maxwell struggled to adapt to her new life in prison, refusing to eat and complaining about the clothes she was provided.
Maxwell is a British socialite and former associate of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 and charged with several counts related to her alleged involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. She was subsequently found guilty in December 2021 on five of the six charges against her, including enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts and transportation of a minor to engage in illegal sex acts.
