(trendingpoliticsnews) – Sunday’s Seattle Pride parade has sparked controversy as children were encouraged to throw toy bricks at images of notable Republicans. The booth, hosted by the organization Beyond These Walls, featured a display painted to look like a wall, in the center of which was a large hole with a sign that read “Basket of Deplorables.”
The wall was plastered with pictures of prominent Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Ted Cruz, and others. The makeshift sign also included pictures of Republican-appointed Supreme Court Justices such as Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh.
Video footage from the event, captured by Katie Daviscourt of The Post Millennial, shows a man cheering on and conversing with a young child who repeatedly attempts to throw a plush toy brick into the hole in the center of the display.

In response to the event, Senator Ted Cruz took to Twitter, saying, “Sadly, the radical left routinely engages in excitement to violence. But trying to teach it to young kids, that’s a new low for them…” Perhaps the toy bricks are harmless, but the ideological foundation being built is not.
