aIt has been confirmed by parties within Israel’s governing coalition that U.S. President Joe Biden made false statements to the international community regarding a ceasefire and hostage deal proposal, falsely attributing it to the Israeli government. According to a report by Breitbart News, Biden put forth a three-part proposal on Friday and repeatedly asserted that it originated from Israel.
Israel has now offered a roadmap to an enduring ceasefire – and the release of all the hostages.

Biden strategically chose to deliver his remarks on the Jewish Sabbath, which posed a challenge for the Israeli government to respond promptly. It is worth noting that his proposal did not advocate for the destruction or disarmament of Hamas. In his speech, Biden explicitly stated that Israelis should not anticipate achieving “total victory.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued two separate statements clarifying that Biden’s proposal did not align with Israel’s own proposal. Interestingly, former President Barack Obama unintentionally revealed that the proposal was, in fact, Biden’s and not Israel’s.
Hamas, on the other hand, responded positively to the deal as it would enable the terrorist group to persist. As the Sabbath concluded, two right-wing parties within Netanyahu’s coalition strongly criticized the agreement and declared their refusal to be part of any government that allowed Hamas to survive the conflict or agreed to a similar deal.
This confirmed that the so-called Israeli “proposal” was not put forth by the Israeli government at all. Biden’s intention seems to have been to corner Israel into accepting a deal that Hamas would have endorsed, thereby making it more challenging for Israel to reject it.
Instead of taking credit for the proposal, Biden presented it as if it originated from Israel, which ultimately undermined the trust between Netanyahu and the right-wing parties in his coalition, leading to the downfall of the Israeli government.
